56.1% Efficient Air Station at a Wool Textile Plant in Zhejiang
Project Background
Wool Textile in Zhejiang, a company specialising in wool processing and production, faced challenges with its existing air compressors. The imported compressors were outdated and inefficient, leading to high energy consumption and poor service support. The company sought to upgrade its system to meet the growing demand for high-quality and high-volume compressed air during its expansion.
Solution
Equipment: SIND SILVERLUBE-VPM series PM VSD screw compressors
SIND provided a comprehensive high-efficiency compressed air solution. The SIND SILVERLUBE-VPM series PM VSD screw compressors were installed, along with 5DV smart permanent magnet variable frequency super dryers, aluminium super pipelines, smart interlocking systems, and zero-consumption drain traps. This solution addressed the company's needs for safety, energy efficiency, heat dissipation, noise reduction, cleanliness, and smart management.
Results
The new system achieved a transmission power efficiency of 56.1%, surpassing the T∕CGMA033001-2018 standard for Grade-1 energy efficiency in compressed air stations (55%). The system saved approximately 190,000 kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by 178 tons, equivalent to planting 44,600 trees. The project was certified and awarded the Grade-1 energy efficiency plaque by the Hefei General Machinery Product Testing Institute.
