Smart Air Station Cuts Energy 35% at a Daily-Chemicals Plant in Sichuan

Project Background

The Daily Chemical Industry in Sichuan, a leading production base for cleaning products in the southwestern region, faced significant challenges in energy management. The existing system relied on manual operation, leading to inefficiencies such as delayed shutdowns, excessive energy consumption, and imbalanced equipment usage. These issues not only increased operational costs but also affected production stability and equipment lifespan.

Solution

Equipment: SIND SILVERLUBE-VPM series PM VSD screw compressors

SIND provided a comprehensive solution with its SIND SILVERLUBE-VPM series PM VSD screw compressors, advanced post-treatment equipment, and a digital management system. The solution included the installation of energy-efficient compressors, a smart control system for optimal air production, and real-time monitoring of energy consumption. This approach ensured that the system could dynamically adjust to varying demand levels, reducing energy waste and extending the lifespan of the equipment.

Results

The implementation of the SIND solution resulted in a 35% reduction in energy consumption, with the average specific power measured at 0.095 kWh/Nm3. This improvement led to an annual savings of US$10.6 (CN¥75.6) in electricity costs. The project was recognised by a national quality supervision institution, which awarded the Daily Chemical Industry in Sichuan a Grade-1 energy efficiency certificate for the compressed air station.
