Technology

Technology Platform

MobilPower PM uses a small petrol engine driving a rotary screw or piston airend on a portable frame. The frame is designed for hand-carry or wheeling, not for towing or crane lift. The machine is compact, light and self-contained: engine, compressor, fuel tank, control and protection in one portable package.

Why Petrol Drive?

Petrol drive addresses small-flow mobile duties:

Key Design Decision: Petrol vs Diesel

Petrol engines are lighter, cheaper and available in smaller sizes than diesel engines. They are suited to intermittent duty and short shift length. Diesel engines are heavier, more expensive, but more fuel-efficient and durable for continuous duty and long shift length. Choose petrol for small flow, light duty and portability; diesel for larger flow, continuous duty and longer life.

More technical detail

Why Petrol Drive?

  • No grid supply — the site has no electrical supply at the point of work.
  • Small flow — the air requirement is too small for a diesel-driven mobile unit. Petrol engines are available in smaller sizes than diesel engines, matching small compressors.
  • Portability — the machine must be carried or wheeled by hand, not towed or crane-lifted.
  • Light duty — intermittent use, short shift length, low annual hours.

Portable Platform Features

MobilPower PM is designed for portability: compact envelope, low weight, carrying handle or frame, optional wheels for wheeled models. The machine is self-contained: engine, compressor, fuel tank, control and protection in one package. No external power or utilities required.

Applications

Construction Site Service

A construction site requires portable compressed air for tyre inflation, blowing and cleaning. No grid supply exists at the point of work.

Pneumatic Tools

A site requires portable compressed air for light-duty pneumatic tools. No grid supply exists.

Workshop Without Permanent Air

A workshop requires compressed air but has no permanent compressed air system.

Energy, maintenance and service

Target Industries and Markets

MobilPower PM is specified for small-flow portable compressed air:

  • Site service — tyre inflation, blowing and cleaning on construction sites.
  • Pneumatic tools — light-duty pneumatic tools where no grid supply exists.
  • Workshop service — portable air for workshops without permanent compressed air.
  • Emergency and rescue — portable air for emergency and rescue operations.
  • Agriculture — pneumatic systems in remote areas.

How This Compares with Electric Portable

MobilPower PM removes the dependency on electrical supply. Where a usable supply exists, an electric portable is quieter, has no exhaust and lower running cost. Where no supply exists, petrol-driven is the only option at small flow.

Specifications vary by configuration; confirm with the datasheet. Dimensions and weights are indicative; request the installation drawing for the specific model before designing foundations or access routes.

Reference data

Full specification and reference tables
  1. Small flow — Too small for diesel mobile
  2. No grid supply — At the point of work
  3. Portable — Hand-carried or wheeled by hand
  4. the exact model and configuration
  5. required operating pressure and flow
  6. fuel type and site conditions
  7. the current datasheet and package contents
  1. PM (petrol) or DM (diesel)?

PM petrol for small flow, light duty and portability. DM diesel for larger flow, continuous duty and longer life. Choose by flow requirement and duty pattern.

  2. PM or EM (electric)?

PM petrol where no grid supply exists. EM electric where a usable supply exists at the point of work — quieter, no exhaust, lower running cost.

  3. What fuel does it use?

Unleaded petrol (gasoline). Confirm the fuel type and octane rating with SIND.

  4. How long can it run on a tank?

Depends on the model, fuel tank capacity and load. Shift endurance is available on request for the specific model.

  5. How do I move it?

Hand-carry or wheel, depending on the model. Weight and dimensions are available on request.

  6. Maintenance and spares?

Engine oil, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter. Intervals and part numbers are available on request.

Sizing & selection notes

  • Match free air delivery to measured demand, with room for future production lines.
  • Set working pressure at the point of use, including pressure drop across filters and dryers.
  • Define the dryness and filtration you actually need, not the highest class by default.
  • Weigh lubricated against oil-free, and fixed against variable speed, for your load profile.
  • Allow for ambient temperature, altitude, ventilation and duty cycle, which cut usable capacity.
