Air Station Saves About CN¥1 Million a Year at a Packaging Plant in Jiangsu
Project Background
The Packaging Industry in Jiangsu faced a significant challenge with the high electricity consumption of their air compressors. The existing compressors were consuming nearly 3.5 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity annually, resulting in an annual electricity cost of 2.5 million yuan. This high energy consumption was a major concern for the company, as it sought to reduce costs and comply with national energy-saving policies.
Solution
Equipment: SIND SILVERLUBE-VPM series PM VSD screw compressors
SIND provided the Packaging Industry in Jiangsu with the SIND SILVERLUBE-VPM series PM VSD screw compressors. These compressors are equipped with innovative energy-saving technology, IE4 efficiency permanent magnet motors, independent cooling systems, and dual variable frequency drives. The overall energy efficiency of the SIND compressors exceeds the national first-class energy efficiency standard by 8-10%, and the energy-saving effect is over 35%.
The compressors also offer remote operation and maintenance capabilities, allowing real-time monitoring of the air compressor station's operational status and enabling unattended operation, which reduces labor costs.
Results
The SIND compressors have helped the Packaging Industry in Jiangsu save 1.3068 million kWh of electricity annually, resulting in an annual electricity cost savings of 953,900 yuan. The energy-saving rate achieved is 38%. Additionally, the compressors have reduced carbon emissions by 355 tons annually, corresponding to 0.272 kg of carbon emissions per kWh.
