Overview
STATIONPACK is the SIND integrated compressor station family. Two series are planned: SN (small open all-in-one station on one skid) and SE (large enclosed station in a weatherproof enclosure). Everything a buyer would otherwise assemble on site arrives as one item with one set of test records — compressor, drive, receiver, dryer, filtration, condensate management and control, factory-piped and factory-tested.
Model range
STATIONPACK covers two series: SN (open skid) and SE (enclosed). Contact SIND for the current coverage.

Technology Platform
StationPack is an integrated compressor station — not a single compressor, but a complete compressed air system on one skid or in one enclosure. The station includes:
SN vs SE: Open or Enclosed?
The choice between SN (open) and SE (enclosed) turns on one question: where will the station be installed?
Station Sequencer and Pressure-Band Control
The point of an integrated station is the boundary. Everything arrives as one item with one control system. The station sequencer sequences the compressors and holds one narrow pressure band at the header, instead of each machine hunting on its own switch.

Technology Platform
- Compression — one or more compressors (screw, depending on the duty).
- Drive — fixed-speed base load with variable-speed trim, or all variable-speed.
- Cooling — aftercooler and lubricant cooler, air-cooled or water-cooled.
- Separation and drainage — oil separator (if oil-injected) and condensate drains.
- Storage — receiver tank for buffer volume and pressure stability.
- Treatment — dryer (refrigerated or desiccant) and filtration (coalescing, particulate, carbon as required).
- Control — station sequencer with pressure-band control, sequencing the compressors and holding one narrow pressure band at the header.
- Enclosure or baseframe — open skid (SN) or weatherproof enclosure (SE).
- Internal pipework and wiring — factory-piped and factory-tested.
SN vs SE: Open or Enclosed?
The split is functional, not arbitrary. SN is open for a sheltered plant room; SE is enclosed for outdoor, noisy or dusty environments.
- SN (open skid) — for plant rooms with existing ventilation and access. The open skid allows free airflow for cooling and easy access for maintenance. SN is specified for indoor installations in sheltered plant rooms.
- SE (enclosed) — for outdoor or semi-outdoor sites, noise-sensitive boundaries, dusty or salty environments, and temporary or relocatable duty. The weatherproof enclosure keeps weather out, sound in and heat in. The enclosure becomes part of the thermal design — the panels that keep weather out and sound in also keep heat in, so intake and hot-air escape must be designed as one circuit.
Station Sequencer and Pressure-Band Control
Lead/lag sequencing with equal-run-hour rotation ensures all compressors accumulate similar operating hours, balancing maintenance intervals. Fixed-speed base load with variable-speed trim provides efficient part-load performance — the fixed-speed machine runs at full load (most efficient point), and the variable-speed machine trims to match air demand.
Treatment Train Sizing
The treatment train (dryer and filters) is sized against what the compressor delivers at the site’s pressure and ambient, not against a nameplate peak flow. This ensures the dryer and filters are correctly sized for the actual duty, not oversize or undersize.
Dryer selection (refrigerated or desiccant) turns on the required pressure dew point. Filtration selection (coalescing, particulate, carbon) turns on the required air quality. Heat recovery is optional where a plant hot-water use exists.
Thermal Design
For enclosed stations (SE), the enclosure becomes part of the thermal design. The panels that keep weather out and sound in also keep heat in. Intake and hot-air escape must be designed as one circuit — cooling air enters through the intake louvre, passes over the coolers and motors, and exits through the hot-air escape louvre. The thermal design must account for design summer ambient, solar gain and the heat rejected by the compressors and coolers.
For open stations (SN), the plant room ventilation must provide sufficient cooling airflow. The station requires free airflow for cooling — obstructions, recirculation or inadequate ventilation cause high temperatures and shutdowns.
Selection Logic
StationPack selection is based on the following parameters:
- Required flow (m³/min): determined by the sum of all simultaneous air consumers plus margin.
- Required pressure (bar(g)): determined by the furthest endpoint’s minimum working pressure plus pipeline losses.
- Required air quality (pressure dew point, oil content, particulate): determines the treatment train.
- Installation location (indoor/outdoor, ambient, noise limit): determines SN or SE.
- Load profile (continuous, intermittent, part-load): determines the compressor arrangement (fixed-speed base load + variable-speed trim, or all variable-speed).

Target Industries and Markets
StationPack is specified where a complete, factory-tested compressed air system is required:
- New workshops without a compressor room — one skid delivered, not eight loose components.
- Adding capacity to existing plant headers — one station ties into the existing header.
- Outdoor or noisy bays — enclosed station (SE) for outdoor or noise-sensitive locations.
- Temporary sites and rental fleets — relocatable station on one skid.
- Hot, dusty or high-altitude locations — station designed for the site conditions.
- Process-critical and food-grade air systems — complete system with correct treatment train.
Energy and Total Cost of Ownership
The total cost of ownership for an integrated station turns on three items: purchase cost, energy cost and maintenance cost.
- Purchase cost — an integrated station typically costs less than assembling the same components separately on site, because the station is engineered, piped and tested as one system.
- Energy cost — the station sequencer holds one narrow pressure band at the header, reducing pressure fluctuations and energy waste. Fixed-speed base load with variable-speed trim provides efficient part-load performance. The treatment train is correctly sized for the actual duty, avoiding oversize (energy waste) or undersize (air quality failure).
- Maintenance cost — one supplier, one set of maintenance records, one responsibility. Airend service, oil circuit, dryer and filter elements, drains, cooler cleaning — all from one source.
